Practice mode — check each part and get hints as you go.

Task

Write Bird extends Animal with a constructor using super, and a method describeLoudly() that returns the inherited describe() in upper case.

Call the inherited method rather than rebuilding the text yourself.

Your solution

class Animal {
    private String name;

    public Animal(String name) {
        this.name = name;
    }

    public String getName() {
        return name;
    }

    public String describe() {
        return name + " is an animal";
    }
}

class Bird extends Animal {
    // constructor with super, then describeLoudly() using the inherited describe()

}

public class Main {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        Bird b = new Bird("Robin");
        System.out.println(b.describe());
        System.out.println(b.describeLoudly());
    }
}
